Welcome to The Castle Inn, the pub that locals use and visitors choose...
|
We are a traditional local pub located close to the High Street in Sandown. A warm atmosphere awaits you the moment you walk through our doors. We have a dedicated team of friendly staff, a large and welcoming group of regular customers and a great selection of real ales, beers and spirits. During the winter an open fire will keep you warm and cosy inside, while the unique and large covered area in our beer garden provides refuge from the elements for those getting some 'fresh air'. During the summer we have plenty of ourdoor seating in our award winning patio garden, complete with an attractive waterfall.
Beer & Cider Festivals
During the year we host some of the island’s finest beer and cider festivals in our very own ‘Ale Barn’. Here you will find a multitude of fine ales and amazing ciders just as the master brewer intended you to drink it… Straight from the barrel!
But we don’t just stop there. We understand that drinking some of the country’s finest beer will need to be accompanied by some great food, so our beer and cider events are accompanied by the likes of hog and lamb roasts, cheddar cheese tasting events and even our resident burger van!
So you you’ve got the finest real ale and the tastiest food. Couple that with live music and great discos and you have everything you could need for the best weekend under one roof.
Don’t miss the next beer or cider festival – details of the next one can be found on our events page.

The Sunday quiz
If you fancy a mental challenge and a chance of winning some cash, our quiz is a very popular way to spend your Sunday evening. The resident quiz master (Gummi bear) Keith starts the questions at 8.30pm and the enterance fee is only £2 a head, with £50 for 1st place, £35 for 2nd place and £20 for 3rd place. At the end of the quiz we have Irish bingo (if your number is called out you have just lost!) and the snowball question.
